why hire a tutor?

Reasons to Hire a Tutor

1.  Improving work habits.  Tutors can demonstrate organization and planning skills.  They also demonstrate ways about thinking through problems.

2.  Personalization.  Immediate feedback is provided.  An individualized learning plan can be arranged.

3.  Increased time on task.  More practice is given where necessary which will improve performance.

4.  Improved behavior.  When students develop good study habits from a young age they tend to use their time more productively rather than wasting it on non-productive activities (cell phones, video games, etc.)

5.  Improved social and behavioral skills.  Confidence that is inevitably developed through greater mastery of the material leads to their ability to help others grasp concepts and greater sense of value.

6.  Improved ability to manage one's own learning.  This is observed as a positive attitude shift toward the content area and for school in general.

7.  Review skills not mastered but no longer taught.

8.  Encourage higher levels of learning.
