chess

Why introduce Chess in pre-school and elementary school?

Studies (Dr. Margulies 1991 and 1996) have shown that students who participate in Chess programs show improved scores on standardized tests.  The gains were observed to be even greater for students with low or average starting scores.  Students who did not play chess showed no improvement.

Other studies have shown (1999) that the overall success rate in handling real life situations with emotional intelligence was 91.4% for the children who participated in a chess program.  In contrast, those who were not involved with a chess program had an average overall success rate of only 64.4%.

We offer Chess training for students from the age of 3.5 to 11 years old.  Students may also consider a Chess tournament experience!
